New York City Center’s Annual Gala was held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 with the opening night performance of Ragtime, followed by dinner and dancing at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.
We were delighted to honor Brian Stokes Mitchell, a member of the original Broadway cast of Ragtime and many City Center productions, and Denise Littlefield Sobel, philanthropist and generous longtime supporter of City Center. This year’s Gala raised over $1.5 million dollars, helping to ensure the future of City Center’s founding mission: to provide all New Yorkers affordable access to world-class performing arts.

Ragtime is a sweeping, powerful musical led by Tony-nominated Encores! Artistic Director Lear deBessonet, featuring Colin Donnell (Father), Joshua Henry (Coalhouse Walker Jr.), Joaquina Kalukango (Sarah), Caissie Levy (Mother), Ben Levi Ross (Younger Brother), Shaina Taub (Emma Goldman), and Brandon Uranowitz (Tateh).
