When you perform on City Center’s 2257-seat mainstage, you walk in the footsteps of legends. Originally built in 1923 and full restored in 2011, this gorgeous Neo-Moorish theater with its singular domed roof has hosted a historic slate of companies and artists, including George Balanchine, Orson Welles, Paul Taylor, Martha Graham, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Beverly Sills, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Björk, and many more.
In addition to its legacy of dance and theater performances, for over 80 years City Center has hosted a wide variety of business and shareholder meetings, upfronts, graduations, award ceremonies, and fundraisers.
New York City Center’s mainstage theater is available for daily or weekly rentals.
