Explore your personal artistry as you learn from talented professionals featured in New York City Center’s 20th Fall for Dance Festival. This annual program is for artists, educators, and students to deepen their appreciation and knowledge of dance and choreography.

This year’s Artistry Unlocked explores the constant evolution of street dance and hip hop, honoring its legacy and influence in culture past, present, and future. Workshops will be led by Bessie Award Winner Adesola Osakalumi (Skeleton Crew, Fela!, Jam on the Groove) and beloved b-girl and Bessie Award-winning choreographer Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie (artistic director of Ephrat Asherie Dance). Both artists are featured in the 20th Fall for Dance Festival—Osakalumi with a groundbreaking dance production that brought hip hop to commercial theater, and Asherie with a World Premiere City Center Commission created in collaboration with critically acclaimed tap dance artist Michelle Dorrance that explores the ways a myriad of footwork styles from across the country intersect and diverge from one another.

Your ticket to Artistry Unlocked includes a seat to see Osakalumi’s work in JAM ON THE GROOVE 3 for 30 (Program 3), or Ephrat Asherie & Michelle Dorrance (Program 4). If you would like to bring a guest to the performance, an additional ticket can be purchased during registration.
