Overview

Overview

This November 30 performance is as part of a multi-year audience development project supported by The Wallace Foundation, and is specifically designed for younger audience members. Therefore, we require all ticket buyers be between the ages of 21 and 30, as of November 30, 2017. Ticket buyers will be required to show proof of age. Guests of ticket buyers can be any age.

Feel JOY on November 30 at a fun, sophisticated evening designed just for you with a performance that includes:

  • Billy Wilson’s The Winter in Lisbon, “an onstage party with rhythm, color, and surprises” (The New York Times) set to music by jazz great Dizzy Gillespie.
  • Robert Battle’s Ella, a high-energy dance that matches the “manic virtuosity of Ella Fitzgerald, as heard in her mind-blowing recording of ‘Airmail Special’” (Chicago Sun-Times).
  • The Company premiere of Mr. Battle’s Mass, inspired by the way a choir shifts and moves on stage with a haunting score by John Mackey.
  • Alvin Ailey’s Revelationsthe world’s most popular work of modern dance.
